Nothing feels quiet the same as wooden handle tools. I guess that is why they are so popular among mechanics and machinist. I gathered this lot of Vintage Nicholson Machinist files from various estate sales. Many were Nicholson Machinist Files but there were other name brands such as Popular Mechanics and Lutz. All of these files showed their fair share of use and some even had a light coating of rust. Overall, these tools were in good condition for there age.

Roughly half of the files were adorned with wooden handles. One of the files appeared to have a homemade wooden handle that had lots of character. This buyer got a good price on such a large lot of files. There is no doubt that these tools will be cleaned, oiled, and put into service for many years.
