The colored eBay feedback star is a part of the seller rating
If you have browsed eBay for any length of time, then you have likely seen the eBay Feedback Star next to a seller’s username. The star indicates the amount of feedback a seller has received. Currently, Blue Hat Deals sits at the purple level. With a little help from the eBay community Blue Hat will soon reach the red level.
In and of itself, the eBay feedback star means very little. for example, a seller could sell two thousand items and still only have a purple star. This is because buyers don’t always leave feedback. So, while neglecting to leave feedback does not “hurt” sellers, it doesn’t help them either.
Feedback is beneficial for the seller and future buyers. A high number of feedback allows potential buyers to be more confident when making purchases. Sellers on eBay love to receive positive feedback because it helps their overall seller rating.

The thing that makes eBay so great is the community of people who buy and sell on the site. Next time you have a good experience, please take a second to reward the seller with a positive feedback. For not-so-good experiences, always reach out to the seller first. Sellers are most always willing to make it right.
